Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily accounting associated with Plant Accounting including supervision of staff.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations relating to Plant Accounting.
• Review and approve team's journal entries, cash wires and RM processing.
• Monthly close responsibilities including Plant PLs, COGS and expense accruals in Oracle..
• Assist in requests from both internal and external auditors.
• Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly, follow-up on any unusual items.
• Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes & procedures, working closely with IT.
• Manage scheduled processes in Oracle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting field; additional supervisory experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills necessary.
• Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Constantly requires sitting, walking/moving, about the work location, and use of a computer or other office equipment.
• Constantly requires positioning oneself, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and climbing or balancing.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and use senses to perform job duties.
• Frequently requires lifting and/or moving up to 10lbs.
