Job Title:Systems Engineer - Cerner Millennium Charge Services and Cerner Patient Accounting Application Owner.

Project Duration: 12 months

Location :- 100% Remote

Position Summary

* Seeking an experienced Application Owner to serve as the strategic owner and subject matter expert for Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting and Charge Services applications.

* Responsible for evaluating business needs, defining application strategy, supporting project initiatives, and ensuring technology solutions align with operational and organizational objectives.

* Leads application roadmap planning, product lifecycle management, governance activities, and stakeholder engagement efforts.

* Partners with business leaders, informatics teams, vendors, and technical teams to support solution design, optimization, and application enhancements.

* This position focuses on application ownership, strategy, governance, requirements gathering, and solution design, with limited hands-on build responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the design, development, and testing of Cerner Charge Services and Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting solutions.

* Lead the evaluation and implementation of application features to replace or enhance existing functionality while ensuring alignment with current and future business processes.

* Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and growth strategy for Cerner Charge Services and Cerner Patient Accounting applications.

* Identify opportunities for application conversion, optimization, innovation, and domain-specific enhancements.

* Develop and manage the application roadmap while considering lifecycle management, strategic alignment, scalability, risk mitigation, and business value delivery.

* Conduct discovery sessions and collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

* Review and evaluate incoming requests for new functionality, enhancements, and project initiatives.

* Work as a member of multiple project teams simultaneously, supporting planning, execution, and solution delivery.

* Review project requests and provide estimates regarding effort, time, cost, resources, and implementation considerations.

* Partner with vendors, market leaders, business stakeholders, informatics teams, and Client Technologies teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution.

* Represent Cerner Charge Services and Cerner Patient Accounting applications in governance forums and strategic planning discussions.

* Communicate product, application, and technology roadmaps effectively to stakeholders and leadership.

* Provide subject matter expertise on application capabilities, workflows, future-state design, and strategic direction.

* Support application governance, technology planning, and organizational initiatives.

* Serve as a trusted advisor and primary application owner for Patient Accounting and Charge Services solutions.

Required Qualifications

* 3-5 years of experience supporting Cerner Charge Services and Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting applications.

* Experience implementing, optimizing, enhancing, or supporting Cerner Patient Accounting and Charge Services solutions preferred.

* Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and workflows.

* Experience gathering requirements, facilitating discovery sessions, and supporting solution design initiatives.

* Ability to work independently, effectively manage priorities, and collaborate within a team environment.

* Basic knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:

o Business and systems analysis

o Requirements gathering

o Functional specification development

o Development and testing processes

o Solution delivery and implementation

* Experience supporting enterprise-level projects and cross-functional initiatives.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate discussions across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree preferred.

* 5-7 years of overall healthcare technology, healthcare application, or revenue cycle experience preferred.

* Experience serving as an Application Owner, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar strategic application leadership role.

* Experience participating in governance, roadmap planning, and technology strategy initiatives.

* Experience working within large healthcare systems or enterprise healthcare environments.
