Pharmacy Technician

Position Title: Pharmacy Technician

Work Location: Cary NC 27513

Assignment Duration: 5+ Months

Work Schedule: 9am to 6pm

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing activities and functions in accordance with policies and procedures which assist in the accurate dispensing of drugs to the patient.

Key Responsibilities:

* Accurately count and label prescriptions so that patients receive the correct therapy regimen

* Record drug storage conditions / excursions

* Quarterly checks for expiration dates

* Accurate bookkeeping for daily perpetual inventory

* Assist other team members as needed to ensure success

* Proper handling of biohazard materials per OSHA guidelines

* Receipt of multiple drug orders per SOP standards

* Perform monthly drug inventory

* Assist the distribution team in providing all required documentation and accurate information to ensure proper shipments to the patient

* Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification & Experience:

* Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred

* Registered technician through the NC Board of Pharmacy or achieve registration within 1 month of employment

* Effective communicator

* Excellent organizational and time management skills

* Competent in basic computer skills

* Multi-task oriented

* Ability to effectively work with people

* Conscientious and detail oriented

* Flexible and adaptable

* High School Diploma required
