Job Description

Building aerospace. Growing the people who engineer it. Because great engineers aren't simply hired. They're developed here.

PURPOSE:

The Quality Technician supports the day-to-day quality activities that keep aerospace production moving safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer requirements.

Working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Inspection, and Shipping, this position helps verify product conformance, resolve shipment holds, organize and maintain quality documentation, support customer return investigations, and provide information needed for Material Review Board (MRB) and other quality activities.

This is a hands-on position for someone who pays attention to the details, takes pride in doing things right, and naturally looks for ways to make processes work better. The right individual will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Quality and Product Engineers and develop a broader understanding of aerospace manufacturing, quality systems, inspection, and problem solving.

If you're the kind of person who notices the small details others miss, looks for more efficient ways to do things, and takes pride in quality work, we encourage you to apply. You don't need to have every skill today. We're looking for the right mindset and the desire to learn.

SCHEDULE:

This role includes a regular Saturday morning presence for a half shift, providing quality support to weekend production activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production & Dimensional Verification

  • Assist with production dimensional verification activities in coordination with the Inspection Lab.
  • Help ensure dimensional inspection information is accurately compiled, organized, and communicated to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support Production and Quality in identifying and addressing dimensional concerns.

Final Inspection & Shipping Support

  • Assist Final Inspection and the Shipping Dock with the clearance of shipment stops.
  • Help verify required paperwork and documentation is complete and accurate before product is released.
  • Maintain organization of quality records, paperwork, and product associated with shipment holds.
  • Help identify and resolve administrative issues that could delay product shipment.

Customer Returns & Investigations

  • Assist with the customer return process, including organization and tracking of returned material and associated information.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering to compile information needed for investigations and disposition.
  • Help organize customer feedback, inspection results, photographs, documentation, and other information used to understand and resolve issues.
  • Support follow-up activities associated with customer returns and corrective actions.

MRB & Quality Engineering Support

  • Assist in compiling information and documentation required for MRB submittals.
  • Support Quality and Engineering with data collection, documentation, and investigation activities.
  • Help organize parts, records, inspection information, and other supporting material needed to move quality issues toward resolution.

Daily Quality Support

  • Provide hands-on support for day-to-day Product & Quality Engineering activities.
  • Assist with part identification, organization, movement, and traceability.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce wasted effort, and make quality activities more effective.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

More than anything, we're looking for how you think and how you work.

  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing quality work.
  • Naturally organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willing to ask questions and learn.
  • Comfortable working with both people and physical product.
  • Able to follow established procedures while also recognizing when something doesn't make sense.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve processes and eliminate unnecessary work.
  • Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs to happen next.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and follow-through.
  • Previous aerospace, manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidate.

WE DON'T HIRE RESUMES. WE HIRE MINDSETS.

If you're someone who notices problems, cares about the details, wants to understand why things work the way they do, and looks for ways to make them better, don't be afraid to apply even if you don't check every box.

The technical skills can be learned. The mindset is harder to teach.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
