Summary 11a- start11p- end 5 weekend shifts required per 6 wk schedule holidays required 1 on call shift per 6 wk schedule Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department FULL TIME - 2ND SHIFT 11a-11p The Emergency Department is a 19 bed/ 4 chaired area with a separate 2 bay, 1 bed clinical decision area designated for patients ranging in age from birth to death with health care needs from nonemergent to critical. The unit has designated rooms used for life-threatening conditions with special equipment and supplies, and rooms designated as fast track for non-emergent patients Job Description: A Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. This individual honors patient's mind, body, and spirit by respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines.
