We AreSynopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow. You AreYou have spent time in the trenches of physical implementation, and you know that getting a design to close is only half the battle. The other half is making sure the customer's team can actually replicate it, understand why it worked, and apply it to the next tapeout without calling you at midnight. You think in flows, not just tools. When a customer says "it's not converging," you are already mentally walking through their floorplan, their timing constraints, and whether they are fighting the tool or fighting their own methodology. You do not just answer questions, you teach people how to ask better ones. Walking a customer through a debug session energizes you because you know that the fifteen minutes you spend explaining why their clock tree looks like that will save them three weeks on their next project. At the same time, you are technical enough to roll up your sleeves, pull their database, reproduce the issue, and loop in the product team with a clear, actionable summary when it is actually a tool problem. You have a point of view on what good implementation looks like, and you are not afraid to push back when a customer is headed toward a dead end. At Synopsys, you will work with some of the most advanced semiconductor teams in the world, and what you help them accomplish will show up in products millions of people use. What You'll Be DoingSupport customer adoption of Fusion Compiler by diagnosing complex place and route issues, reproducing problems in-house, and driving resolution with engineering teamsLead technical engagements with advanced node customers, defining deployment strategies that align tool capabilities with their design goals and constraintsRoll out new product methodologies by designing and delivering training sessions, workshops, and hands-on enablement for customer engineering teamsServe as the technical voice of the customer to the product team, translating field feedback into actionable feature requests, bug reports, and roadmap inputCollaborate with account teams to shape technical solutions during pre-sales and post-deployment phases, ensuring customers see measurable improvements in PPA and turnaround timeDebug and optimize customer flows across design planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure using Fusion Compiler and related Synopsys toolsBuild and maintain deep technical relationships with customer architects and implementation leads, becoming their go-to resource for methodology questions and escalationsThe Impact You Will HaveAccelerate customer tapeout schedules by resolving critical implementation bottlenecks that would otherwise delay production by weeks or monthsIncrease Fusion Compiler adoption and deployment success rates across your accounts, directly contributing to revenue growth and customer retentionShape the product roadmap by surfacing real-world use cases and gaps that engineering teams would not see without your field insightReduce customer support escalations by enabling teams to solve their own problems through better training, documentation, and methodology guidanceInfluence how the next generation of AI, automotive, and hyperscale chips get implemented by working with customers pushing the edge of process technologyStrengthen Synopsys' reputation as a trusted technical partner, not just a tool vendor, by consistently delivering solutions that work in productionHelp define best practices and reference flows that get reused across multiple customer engagements and become part of the standard methodologyWhat You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentDeep expertise in place and route methodologies, including floorplanning, placement optimization, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closureProven experience with Synopsys Fusion Compiler in a production design environment or customer-facing roleStrong working knowledge of static timing analysis (STA) and low power design flows, including multi-voltage domains and power gating techniquesProficiency in TCL scripting for automation, flow customization, and debugExperience with advanced node designs (7nm and below) is a strong plusAbility to travel to customer sites as needed, typically 20-30% depending on account needsWho You AreYou can walk into a room where a customer's design is failing timing by 500ps and leave two hours later with a clear plan, a list of owners, and everyone aligned on next stepsWhen a customer pushes back on a recommended flow change, you do not just defend it, you explain the tradeoff in terms of their schedule, their PPA targets, and their team's capacityYou are comfortable presenting technical content to both hands-on engineers who want to see waveforms and directors who want to know if this will delay the tapeoutAmbiguity does not slow you down. If the customer has not fully defined their problem, you ask the right questions to get to the root cause without waiting for a perfect ticketYou keep track of multiple customer engagements at once without dropping threads, and you know when to escalate internally before a small issue becomes a crisisYou genuinely enjoy teaching, and you measure success not just by whether the issue got solved, but by whether the customer can solve the next one on their ownThe Team You'll Be Part OfYour recruiter will share more about the team structure and mission during the interview process.Rewards and BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
