Salesforce Principal Engineer is primarily responsible for the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of Salesforce Sales Cloud applications, including requirements analysis, development, testing, and implementation.

Should have extensive experience integrating Salesforce with third-party tools using solutions like MuleSoft, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and other integration platforms. The role involves defining roadmaps for upgrades, enhancements, and development efforts, designing solutions, and collaborating in Agile environments.

This position expects strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud including Admin and Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Analyze, design, develop & maintain customizations and configure Salesforce Sales Cloud to meet specific business requirements.
  • Integrate Salesforce Sales Cloud with external systems including ERP systems and other third-party applications.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of Salesforce CRM solutions, ensuring performance, storage, and data integrity.
  • Conduct user training and provide technical support, as needed, to ensure successful adoption and utilization of new functionality.
  • Responsible for establishing best practices for configuration, design and development in Salesforce (Sales Cloud), and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest features and capabilities of Salesforce and proactively recommend enhancements and improvements to existing solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, Pair-Programming/testing Sessions.
  • Proactive system maintenance.
  • Participate in the full SDLC (Kanban), including requirement analysis, story writing, design and implementation, estimations, and other aspects of iterative development.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • At least ten (10) years of demonstrated expertise designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements in Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Excellent knowledge of Sales Cloud functionality including Lead Management, Territory Management, Collaborative Forecasting, Pipeline Inspection etc., with experience in Sales domain.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce security, user management, platform maintenance, data modelling, reports, and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Apex programming.
  • Strong experience working with Lightning, and Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Visualforce and other Salesforce tools.
  • Experience using AI tools like Codex, Claude, Copilot
  • Experience and implementation of Einstein AI tools.
  • Experience in Agentforce and Data Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps, usage of Git
  • Familiarity with integration patterns such as batch processing, event-driven architecture, and real-time integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Required - PD I certification, preferred PDII.
  • Preferred - Sales Cloud Consultant Certification.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Experience in Continuous Integration and automated testing strategies is a strong plus.
  • Experience in MCAE+ and Account Engagement (Pardot) is a plus.
  • Experience in Salesforce Cadences a plus.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Kanban methodology preferred.
  • Experience in AccelQ is a plus.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $145-160K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience, and skill, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunity.
