Part- Time: Approximately 25 hours per week, during standard business hours

Location: Remote with occasional travel to Avient World Headquarters in Avon Lake, Ohio

Avient is seeking an experienced, high-performing Talent Acquisition Sourcer to identify and engage passive talent for critical and hard-to-fill roles across the United States and Canada. This part-time role operates as a strategic sourcing partner to Talent Acquisition, translating business needs into targeted search strategies, market insights, and sustainable talent pipelines.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on sourcing expert who is comfortable working independently, advising Talent Acquisition partners, and using advanced research, outreach, and talent intelligence techniques to reach specialized candidates. The position will support a range of professional, technical, engineering, manufacturing, operations, information technology, scientific, sales, and leadership needs.

Essential Functions

  • Lead sourcing strategy for assigned requisitions, talent pipelines, and project-based hiring initiatives, with emphasis on specialized, business-critical, and difficult-to-fill talent.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition partners and hiring teams during intake discussions to define the target profile, clarify must-have qualifications, identify comparable talent, and establish an efficient sourcing plan.

  • Build and execute advanced search strategies across LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, internal databases, professional networks, referrals, targeted web research, and other relevant channels.

  • Craft personalized candidate outreach and multi-touch campaigns that clearly communicate Avient's value proposition and generate interest from passive candidates.

  • Conduct initial outreach and qualification conversations to confirm candidate interest, relevant experience, location, compensation alignment, and willingness and availability to speak with a Talent Acquisition Partner.

  • Provide talent market intelligence, competitive landscape, location considerations, compensation observations, and potential barriers to the search.

  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate, campaign, talent pool, and activity documentation within the applicant tracking system and recruitment CRM.

  • Manage multiple sourcing priorities independently while adapting quickly to changing business needs.

  • Contribute sourcing expertise, tools, templates, and best practices that strengthen the broader Talent Acquisition function.

  • Partner with Marking and Communications on campaigns to attract passive candidates and job seekers to Avient.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience for salaried roles, with significant responsibility for proactive sourcing and passive-candidate engagement required.

  • Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search, X-ray search, social sourcing, talent mapping, and targeted research techniques required.

  • Experience creating and managing talent pools, outreach campaigns, and candidate pipelines within an applicant tracking system or recruitment CRM required.

  • Experience translating a complex hiring need into a clear target profile and consultative sourcing strategy required.

  • Experience using sourcing metrics, funnel conversion data, and market insights to guide decisions and adjust strategy required.

  • Oracle Recruiting Cloud experience preferred.

  • Experience sourcing for a multi-site manufacturing, materials, chemical, industrial, or similar technical organization preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
