Warranty Coordinator
Position description:

The Warranty Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the warranty claim process from initial review through submission, follow-up, and payment. This position ensures warranty claims are accurate, properly documented, submitted in a timely manner, and processed in accordance with manufacturer and company policies. This role will also be responsible for Assisting in receiving PO's, updating After Sales Spreadsheet, and assuring paperwork from process planning.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist Purchasing to process warranty claims.
  • Open new warranty claims, enter required customer data.
  • Investigate and gather information to help process claims for purchased parts.
  • Updated Towmaster Trailer Schedule for After Sales
  • Assure paperwork aligns from Process Planning to Warehouse
  • Process warranty claims for purchased parts with designated vendors.
  • Close completed warranty claims.
  • Assist with keeping Warranty Work In Process (WIP) spreadsheet current.
  • Monitor backlog of outstanding warranty claims, perform follow-up
  • Communications with purchased part suppliers to process warranty claims for parts.
  • Participate in monthly review of warranty backlog and outstanding claims.
  • Participation in meetings is required.
  • Receive PO's based off services provided and or product that does not come into the receiving door.



Qualifications:


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, clients, and employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use common sense and good judgment when following written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.
  • Ability to calmly and effectively handle problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency with SAP.
