Job Summary

The Cable Harness Assembler II performs cable and wire harness assembly using engineering drawings, work instructions, and established quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, precision wire measurement, electrical testing, and assembly of small components. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, precision, quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively in a repetitive production environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Assemble cable and wire harnesses according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Crimp small terminals and contacts using manual and pneumatic crimping tools.
  • Perform soldering operations according to applicable workmanship standards.
  • Measure and cut wires to specified lengths using precision measuring tools.
  • Work under a microscope when required for detailed assembly tasks.
  • Perform continuity checks and basic electrical testing.
  • Assemble small motors, connectors, and related components.
  • Follow ESD control procedures when handling sensitive components.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
  • Follow IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards and established quality procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality management practices.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet quality and production requirements.


Job Requirements



  • 2-3 years of hands-on cable or wire harness assembly experience.
  • Experience crimping small terminals and contacts.
  • Experience using manual or pneumatic crimping tools.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Experience working in an ESD-controlled environment.
  • Knowledge of ESD handling procedures and protective equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Experience measuring and cutting wire to precise specifications.
  • Experience performing continuity checks or basic electrical testing.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, and wire measuring equipment.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 quality systems is preferred.
  • Microscope-assisted assembly experience is preferred.
