About the Opportunity

Staffmark is hiring an experienced Industrial Chemical Production Operator to support a global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced materials. This is a hands-on chemical manufacturing role involving the production of specialized epoxy and polyurethane formulations used in advanced applications, including aerospace, electronics, and tooling. Unlike general production or assembly positions, this role requires the ability to follow detailed manufacturing procedures, safely handle industrial chemicals, operate processing equipment, and maintain strict quality and safety standards. We're looking for dependable, safety-conscious candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate chemical processing equipment, including reactors, mixers, vessels, and dischargers.
  • Support the manufacturing of epoxy and polyurethane formulations according to established procedures.
  • Monitor processing operations involving heating, cooling, vacuum, pressure, and nitrogen purging, as trained and authorized.
  • Safely handle raw materials, chemical containers, and drums.
  • Measure, transfer, mix, and process materials according to production instructions.
  • Fill containers, clean equipment, and maintain organized production areas.
  • Complete required production documentation and communicate process or equipment concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, quality requirements, PPE guidelines, and environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Operate forklifts when authorized and properly trained.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related manufacturing or industrial production experience; chemical manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and safety instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work safely around industrial processing equipment and chemical materials.
  • Dependable attendance and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
  • Flexibility to work first, second, or third shift as assigned.
  • Ability to meet applicable job-related clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in chemical processing, formulation, or batch manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane, resins, reactors, or industrial mixing equipment.
  • Experience handling chemical drums, raw materials, and industrial containers.
  • Forklift experience.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform hands-on production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds, following site safety procedures.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work around industrial chemical processing equipment.
  • Ability to perform equipment cleaning and housekeeping tasks while following established safety procedures.

Why Join Staffmark?

  • Competitive pay of $27.00-$30.00 per hour.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options, subject to eligibility and plan terms.
  • Optional 401(k) plan.
  • Opportunities to develop specialized chemical manufacturing skills and grow professionally.
