Summary Maintenance Mechanic B is an intermediate level technician responsible for performing routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repair of equipment under moderate supervision. This role supports senior mechanics and ensures equipment reliability through preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plant equipment (lubrication, adjustments, basic repairs). Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical issues on motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, etc. Assist senior mechanics with complex repairs or equipment rebuilds. Perform basic electrical tasks such as replacing sensors, switches, fuses, or wiring components (based on plant rules). Follow equipment manuals to identify parts and maintenance procedures. Maintain accurate work records in dedicated Maintenance System. Keep maintenance shops and work areas organized and safe. Support safety and production teams as needed. Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Basic understanding of mechanical systems; some exposure to electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment. Reading and understanding basic schematics or diagrams. Willingness to learn advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques. Education/Training High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical coursework or vocational training are preferred. On-the-job training provided.
