Position Title: Material Handler
Wage: $17.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday, Occasional Saturdays) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Material Handler at a company in Houston, TX (77088). This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply today! Material Handler Responsibilities: - Label, store, and track the location of goods within the facility - Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damage, verify against shipping manifests - Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to safely relocate items to designated storage bays or work centers - Pull and stage raw materials and supplies needed for daily production orders, and ensure products are ready for the shipping dock - Conduct pre-use inspections on equipment, perform light maintenance, and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area - Maintain clean and organized workstations and storage areas - Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately - Assist with inventory counts and restocking as needed - Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals Requirements for Material Handler: - High School Diploma, GED or Technical School Degree - Basic math skills - At least two years of experience in a warehouse material handler role preferred - Forklift certification - Valid driver's license - Ability to lift up 50lbs IND153 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
