Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in an education- or evaluation-related field.
At least three years of experience working in higher education in a college/school, center or institute, or central administration.
A working knowledge of program review, assessment of learning outcomes, and institutional effectiveness.
Position Summary
This position serves as the University's main point of contact for three major institutional effectiveness processes, Academic Program Review, Support Unit Review, and Administrator Review.
As the point person for Academic Program Review, the assistant director manages and tracks the review process as defined in the UGA Program Review Policy from start to finish. This includes supporting the ongoing work of the Program Review and Assessment Committee ( PRAC), serving as liaison between PRAC and the units under review, and providing guidance for the review teams.
This position also facilitates the Support Unit Review process for the institution, managing and tracking the review process as defined in the UGA Support Unit Review Policy from start to finish. This includes providing guidance for the review teams and serving as liaison between the review teams and the units under review.

The assistant director will support the five-year administrator review process, including supporting the work on the review committee.
This position contributes to the ongoing work of the Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness, as well as the Office of the Provost, as needed.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and administrators.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, details, and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability with project management and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects.
  • The ability to design and implement surveys using standard survey software.

  • Maintain academic program review and support unit review cycles and maintain relevant section of the Office of Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness website.
