The Opportunity:

As the Business Development Manager for EV - Northeast, you will be responsible for leading sales efforts within your assigned territory, with a primary focus on driving sales and executing LG's strategic EV sales initiatives. Success in this role requires a proven track record and relevant experience in selling hardware/software to a variety of enterprise customers. Experience in selling EV charging stations and having established industry relationships is highly advantageous. You will collaborate cross-functionally with LG business units, value-added resellers, electrical contractors, and distributors. To thrive in this fast-paced sales environment, you must be creative, independent, focused, and an excellent problem solver. A strong understanding of the EV charging industry, a history of meeting sales targets, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams are essential for achieving overall business objectives.

The preferred location for this role is in the New England area

Qualifications:



  • Review and Analyze: Understand federal and local government EV charging programs, budgets, and incentives, and identify key areas of appropriated funding for facility infrastructure modernization.
  • Federal Contracting Expertise: Maintain a solid understanding of federal contracting and contract vehicles, including agency-specific contracts.
  • Leadership in Solutions Capture: Coach, facilitate, and lead complex solutions capture initiatives within the federal and local government sectors.
  • Strategic Win Strategies: Develop strong win strategies to secure major opportunities in the federal and local government space.
  • NEVI Management: Lead and manage NEVI opportunities for EV infrastructure bills on a state level.
  • Support Field Sales: Assist the field sales organization in securing product, services, and business solutions sales.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute the sales strategy for EV chargers, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and sales objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the EV charging industry.
  • Account Prospecting: Efficiently prospect and develop new accounts, with the ability to schedule and assess targeted market potential.
  • Passion for Electrification: Demonstrate enthusiasm for vehicle electrification with a basic understanding of the current EV charging landscape and a strong grasp of multiple verticals.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with government and utility incentives, industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscapes to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies as needed.
  • Product Knowledge Development: Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of all product offerings.
  • Sales Performance Management: Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, and regularly report progress to management.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote the company's EV charger products and establish industry thought leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across engineering, operations, and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of projects.


Required:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • A minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in the EV charging industry.
    • At least 5+ years of experience is required in the energy field for sales and business development.


  • Sales Success: Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets, preferably in the EV charging industry or a related field.
  • Sales Expertise: Comfortable selling in multi-stakeholder environments and engaging with C-suite executives.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EV charging industry, including various charging technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Motivation and Drive: Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven, with a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and project site visits.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
