Printpack is in search of a Continuous Improvement Manager in Villa Rica, GA capable of driving teams in the plant to use quality, lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to deliver business results. That includes overseeing the development, planning, and execution of strategies and metrics to track improvements.

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead plant initiatives to save costs, eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce product defects using a variety of continuous improvement methodologies. The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for managing and facilitating all continuous improvement initiatives and strategies for the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business administration, process management, operations, industrial engineering, engineering, or engineering management.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals, certifications related to lean manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Improvement Expertise: Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and develop data-driven solutions.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to lead improvement initiatives from conception to implementation.

  • Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey improvement strategies.

  • Change Management: Experience in driving and managing change within an organization.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire teams to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. This person will also have direct reports with expertise in training and process so must be a strong mentor and coach.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industry technologies and tools.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.

  • Training and Coaching: Capability to train and coach team members on continuous improvement principles and methodologies followed by ongoing support to foster a culture of improvement.

  • Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes and analyze the data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure those strategies meet business needs.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement impact preparing regular reports for leadership highlighting achievements and areas for further enhancement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL:

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch crawl, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms. Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to protective eyewear, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection. Must be able to work on the production floor at production machines when needed for process improvement events. Must be able to work on a computer and utilize tools for virtual meetings as needed.

  • Travel Requirements: The Continuous Improvement Manager will not be expected to travel regularly however, occasional travel to other locations is needed, typically 1-4 times per year.

WORK CONDITIONS:

The Continuous Improvement Manager will work in an office. However, the role will necessitate significant time on the plant floors and warehouses. The primary responsibilities would be Monday through Friday during normal business hours but could include weekends and nights if needed for an improvement project.
