The Opportunity:

The Quality Engineer will apply a professional level of analytical and reasoning skills to conduct data analysis, system evaluation, and product assessment to identify quality trends and areas for improvement with assigned products.

Qualifications:



  • Gather and analyze product quality data from the field related to customer service calls, repairs, and returns to identify quality issues or unexpected symptoms of products.
  • Act as a liaison between the factory and customer service to expedite communication on quality issues, and work closely with manufacturing engineers to provide solutions.
  • Research competitor products to understand if similar quality issues exist in the market, using this information to determine how to improve the company's products and increase overall quality.
  • Test various components of quality control programs through data analysis, system evaluation, product assessment, product disassembly, and parts inspections to ensure conformity to specifications.
  • Document quality issues for management review, prepare reports, and present findings at various meetings and work groups.
  • Perform audits to ensure established standards of quality are maintained and assist in developing new quality measurement methods and procedures.
  • Frequently review service bulletins to maintain accurate information, including repair parts and service manuals.
  • Develop and implement quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control methods, Six Sigma tools, and data analysis.
  • Propose and implement opportunities to streamline and redesign processes/systems to strengthen internal controls, reduce quality issue costs, gain efficiencies, and ensure end-user satisfaction by providing the best quality products and services.


Education/Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Minimum 1 year of field experience related to the position
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills with a general understanding of home appliance functionality
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly
  • Must be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel
  • Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • REQUIRED: Bilingual in Korean and English
